Which Apps Give a Rebate on Hotel Bookings in Singapore in 2026?
Which apps give a rebate on hotel bookings in Singapore in 2026? Trip.com pays Trip Coins worth about S$1.28 per 100 coins, Klook pays KlookCash at up to 0.8% for Explorer members and up to 4% for Platinum members, and a rebate app such as ShopBack Singapore returns cash when you go through it before you book on Agoda, Trip.com, Klook or Booking.com. How each one works and how to plan a hotel booking around them.
In Singapore, a rebate on a hotel booking usually comes from three kinds of app: the booking app's own reward credit, your bank card, and a rebate app such as ShopBack Singapore that you go through before you book. According to each company at the time of writing, 100 Trip Coins on Trip.com are worth about S$1.28, and Klook pays KlookCash at up to 0.8% for Explorer members and up to 4% for Platinum members.
New to ShopBack? ShopBack Singapore is a free website and app that pays cash back on eligible online bookings, including hotels on Agoda, hotels and flights on Trip.com and stays and activities on Klook. You go through ShopBack to the booking site, book as usual, and the money lands in your ShopBack account once the stay is confirmed. Which apps give a rebate on hotel bookings in Singapore?
Three kinds of app give money back on a hotel booking in Singapore, and each one is paid by a different company: the booking site, your bank or ShopBack. Here is how they compare, using each company's own figures at the time of writing.
| Where the rebate comes from | Example | What you get back | Can you take it out as cash? |
|---|---|---|---|
| The booking app's own reward credit | Trip.com Trip Coins | 100 Trip Coins are worth about S$1.28, used like cash on later prepaid bookings | No, it is spent on Trip.com |
| The booking app's own reward credit | Klook KlookCash | Up to 0.8% (Explorer), up to 2.4% (Gold), up to 4% (Platinum) of a booking, updated 12 March 2026 | No, Klook says it cannot be exchanged for cash |
| Your bank card | Citi PremierMiles on Agoda | Up to 7.2 Citi Miles per S$1 on Agoda hotels booked through agoda.com/bonusmiles | Miles, not cash |
| A rebate app you go through first | ShopBack Singapore | A cash rebate on eligible bookings at Agoda, Trip.com, Klook, Booking.com and more; the live rate is on each store's ShopBack page | Yes, as cash in your ShopBack account once confirmed, subject to ShopBack's withdrawal terms |
The first two lower the price of your next trip with the same app. A cash rebate lowers the price of the trip you are paying for now, because it is not tied to one booking app.
What counts as a hotel rebate app in Singapore in 2026?
A hotel rebate app is any app that returns part of what you paid for a stay after you pay, rather than cutting the price at checkout. That is the key difference from a promo code, which takes money off before you pay.
In 2026, Singapore travellers usually meet three versions of this:
- Booking app credits. Trip.com and Klook both run their own credits. They are earned after the trip is completed and can only be spent on the same app later. Trip.com says hotel bookings count after check-out is confirmed, and Klook says KlookCash is earned when you book and complete activities.
- Card rebates and miles. Your bank pays these on the card spend. Some banks run hotel booking pages with higher earn rates; Citibank Singapore, for example, lists up to 7.2 Citi Miles per S$1 on Agoda hotel bookings made through agoda.com/bonusmiles, for bookings made until 31 December 2026 and stays until 30 April 2027.
- A rebate app such as ShopBack. You go through ShopBack to the booking site before you pay. The rebate is a share of your eligible spend that comes back to your ShopBack account as cash.
Cashback lowers what you actually pay for an order. It comes back as cash, so it works like a discount on the price, not like points or miles.
Apps that give rebates on hotel bookings: best deals in Singapore in 2026
The best hotel deal in Singapore is the lowest effective price: the final total after taxes and fees, minus whatever comes back to you after the stay. The headline room rate is only the starting point.
To find it for a 2026 trip:
- Shortlist the hotel and dates. Look at the same room type and the same cancellation terms on two or three sites.
- Compare the final total. Include taxes, resort fees and any payment surcharge shown at checkout.
- Check what the booking app gives back. On Trip.com this depends on your tier; Trip.com lists six tiers (Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Diamond+ and Black Diamond), and higher tiers earn more Trip Coins. On Klook, your Klook Rewards tier sets your KlookCash rate.
- Check what your card gives back. Look for a bank hotel booking page, and read its terms.
- Go through ShopBack and book. Open the store's ShopBack page, tap through and book in that session.
To work out the effective price, take the final total and subtract the Cashback you expect back. Check the live rate on the store's ShopBack page, because it changes.
Trip.com vs Agoda: which gives the better rebate on a hotel?
Neither Trip.com nor Agoda gives the better rebate on every hotel; the result depends on the room price that day, your membership tier on each app, your card and the live ShopBack rate on each store's page. Both are large booking sites with deep hotel inventory across Asia. Agoda was founded in 2005, is headquartered in Singapore and Thailand, and has been part of Booking Holdings since 2007.
For a fair price comparison in 2026:
- Same room, same terms. A free-cancellation rate and a non-refundable rate are different products, so compare like with like.
- Trip.com. Add the value of Trip Coins you expect to earn, at about S$1.28 per 100 coins, if you will book with Trip.com again.
- Agoda. Add any bank booking page offer that applies to your card, such as the Citi PremierMiles Agoda page.
- ShopBack on both. Check the rate on the Trip.com and Agoda pages on ShopBack Singapore, then work out the effective price on each.
The cheaper option is the one with the lower effective price, not the lower headline rate.
Trip.com, Agoda and Klook rebates in Singapore: what each one offers
Trip.com: Trip Coins and member tiers
Trip.com's own rebate is Trip Coins, which it says are worth about S$1.28 per 100 coins and can be used like cash on prepaid bookings. Trip.com lists six tiers. According to its loyalty page at the time of writing:
- Silver starts when you register, and Gold after 1 eligible booking. Neither tier expires.
- Platinum needs 3 eligible bookings after reaching Gold, and Diamond needs 8 eligible bookings with a total spend of at least US$1,000.
- Higher tiers earn more Trip Coins, up to 200% more at the invitation-only Black Diamond tier.
- Hotel bookings count toward tier progress after check-out is confirmed, and Trip.com notes some hotels may take 2 to 6 weeks to confirm check-out.
Trip Coins can be spent on hotels, flights, trains, car rentals, attractions and tours, airport transfers, and group and private tours booked on Trip.com.
Klook: KlookCash
Klook's own rebate is KlookCash, which it describes as an in-app reward currency you earn when you book and complete activities. Klook's help pages say, at the time of writing:
- Explorer members earn at up to 0.8% of a booking, Gold members up to 2.4% and Platinum members up to 4%, rates updated on 12 March 2026.
- You can start using KlookCash once you have at least 10 in your account.
- KlookCash expires 365 days after the day you earned it.
- It cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash, and cannot be used on some products, including Klook Passes, e-Gift Cards, travel insurance and Stay+ packages.
Klook also sells hotel stays, though many Singapore travellers use it mainly for attraction tickets, transport passes and activities around a hotel stay.
Agoda: member prices and bank offers
Agoda's savings usually show up as a lower price before you pay, through member prices, promo codes and bank card offers, rather than as a separate in-app rebate. The main rebate route on an Agoda hotel is outside Agoda: a bank booking page such as Citibank's Agoda offer, and going through ShopBack before you book. For more on Agoda's own offers, see our Agoda discounts guide.
Other hotel booking sites in the same category that Singapore travellers often compare include Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com and Traveloka.
How ShopBack works as the rebate step on a hotel booking
Plan the trip, then book through ShopBack. ShopBack is a post-purchase discount: go through it before you pay and the effective price drops. It is the step you take between choosing the hotel and paying for it, and it works on Agoda, Trip.com, Klook and other booking sites rather than inside one app.
Here is the routine for a hotel booking:
- Plan the trip. Pick dates and shortlist the hotel.
- Compare totals on Agoda, Trip.com, Klook or Booking.com.
- Open the store's page on ShopBack Singapore, such as Agoda, Trip.com or Klook, and read the terms for hotel bookings.
- Tap through and book in that session, logged in to your booking app account.
- Wait for the stay to be confirmed. The rebate shows in your ShopBack account and becomes withdrawable after the booking site confirms the completed stay.
Because the rebate comes back as cash, it works like a discount on the price you paid, not like points that only work in one app.
Paying with your card on the same hotel booking
You can usually earn your card's rebate or miles and a ShopBack rebate on the same hotel booking, because they come from different places. Your bank pays the card reward and ShopBack pays its rebate.
A few things to check first:
- Bank booking pages have their own rules. Citibank says its Agoda bonus miles offer only applies to bookings made through its dedicated link, and that route may track differently from a normal booking, so check the merchant's terms on ShopBack before choosing it.
- Some promo codes or payment methods can affect the rebate. Check the store's terms on its ShopBack page before you apply a code.
- Foreign currency charges may earn more miles on some cards but often carry a foreign transaction fee.

The short answer
For hotel bookings in Singapore, use the booking app's own credit if you will book with that app again, and go through ShopBack Singapore before you pay so part of the price comes back as cash. Trip Coins (about S$1.28 per 100) and KlookCash (up to 0.8% to 4% by tier) reward loyalty to one app; a ShopBack rebate works on Agoda, Trip.com, Klook, Booking.com and other sites, and you can spend it anywhere.
FAQ
Which apps give a rebate on hotel bookings in Singapore?
In Singapore, hotel booking rebates usually come from three kinds of app: the booking app's own reward credit, such as Trip Coins on Trip.com or KlookCash on Klook; your bank's card app, through miles or a card rebate; and a rebate app such as ShopBack Singapore, which you go through before you book on Agoda, Trip.com, Klook or Booking.com and which pays the money back as cash.
How much are Trip.com Trip Coins worth?
According to Trip.com's Singapore loyalty page at the time of writing, 100 Trip Coins are worth about S$1.28 and can be used like cash on prepaid bookings such as hotels, flights, trains and attractions. Higher Trip.com tiers earn more coins, up to 200% more at the invitation-only Black Diamond tier.
How much KlookCash do I earn on a Klook booking?
Klook says Explorer members earn KlookCash at up to 0.8% of a booking, Gold members at up to 2.4% and Platinum members at up to 4%, with rates updated on 12 March 2026. KlookCash can be used once you hold at least 10, expires 365 days after it is earned and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Is a booking app's reward credit the same as a cash rebate?
Not quite. Trip Coins and KlookCash can only be spent on later bookings with the same app, and Klook says KlookCash cannot be exchanged for cash. A cash rebate from ShopBack comes back as cash in your ShopBack account, so it works like a discount on the price you already paid rather than like points.
Is Trip.com or Agoda cheaper for hotels in Singapore?
Neither is cheaper for every stay. Prices depend on the hotel, dates, room type and any member or bank offer running that day. Compare the final total for the same room on both, including taxes and fees, then work out the effective price after any rebate you will get back.
How do I get a rebate on an Agoda hotel booking?
Plan the trip, then open the Agoda page on ShopBack Singapore, tap through and book in that same session. The rebate is tracked to your ShopBack account and comes back as cash once Agoda confirms the stay. The live rate is shown on the Agoda page on ShopBack.
Can I earn a card rebate and a ShopBack rebate on the same hotel booking?
Usually yes, because your card's miles or rebate come from your bank and ShopBack's rebate comes from ShopBack. Some bank booking links, promo codes or payment methods have their own rules, so check the merchant's terms on ShopBack and your bank's terms before you pay.
When does a hotel rebate come back?
Hotel rebates usually come back after the stay, not on the day you book. Trip.com, for example, says a hotel booking counts toward its tier progress after check-out is confirmed. ShopBack's rebate on a hotel usually becomes withdrawable after the booking site confirms the completed stay.
What happens to the rebate if I cancel the hotel?
A cancelled booking usually does not earn a rebate, because there is no completed stay to confirm. Trip.com says fully cancelled bookings do not count toward its tier progress, and a ShopBack rebate on a cancelled booking is usually not paid. If you rebook, go through ShopBack again for the new booking.
Which other hotel booking sites can I use with ShopBack Singapore?
Besides Agoda, Trip.com and Klook, Singapore travellers often compare Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com and Traveloka, which all have store pages on ShopBack Singapore. Each page shows the live rate and the terms for that site.
