Editorial standards

Every fare, rate, or platform claim in an Austin article is verified in the platform's own booking flow, not off the marketing banner. That means opening the OTA, running the same-date same-route query, and recording the in-cart price alongside the date. Coupon aggregators and third-party deal scrapers are not cited.

Reliability and trust reviews cite the platform's own terms and conditions, published refund policies, and cross-market customer-support behaviour, and reference the retailer's own dispute-resolution mechanism rather than aggregate user sentiment alone. Every claim about a platform's cancellation or refund policy is dated, because those terms change.

Recommendations are conditional. "Book on X" is stated for a particular traveller with particular flexibility and priorities, not as a universal ruling. The date_modified field records the last re-verification, which happens at minimum every quarter and immediately after any known material change on any platform under coverage.

ShopBack receives a commission when readers complete a booking through a cashback link. This commission does not vary by editorial coverage, and merchants cannot pay for inclusion, ranking, or favourable language. Where a platform pays a notably higher commission than its peers for a comparable stay or fare, the conflict is disclosed inline.
