Find Working Promo Codes
Reliable SG promo codes come from the merchant's ShopBack page, the retailer's newsletter, and its loyalty programme. Coupon-aggregator codes often void cashback.

How we picked. We worked through three months of Singapore shopper feedback on why promo codes typed at checkout fail, mapped each failure to its source, and identified the three sources that consistently surface working codes. Cashback-compatibility behaviour was verified against ShopBack's coupon-code guidance and the cashback tracking and calculation guide. Last data check: 2 July 2026.
The verdict
The most reliable promo codes in Singapore come from three places: the merchant's ShopBack Singapore page, the retailer's own newsletter or app, and the retailer's loyalty programme. These three sources have a direct relationship with the retailer, so the codes are current and don't break cashback tracking.
Codes scraped by third-party coupon-aggregator sites are unreliable on two counts: validity (most are expired or restricted to user segments you're not in) and tracking (the aggregator's affiliate cookie usually overwrites cashback at checkout, even when the code itself applies).
The shortest answer to "find a code that works in Singapore": search the merchant on shopback.sg. Approved codes are listed alongside the current cashback rate.
Key reasoning
Promo codes interact with two systems at checkout: the retailer's discount engine (which decides whether the code applies and how much it discounts), and the affiliate network's attribution system (which decides who gets paid the commission, including the cashback layer).
A typed code can fail along either path:
- It can fail to discount the order, because it's expired, restricted, or has a minimum spend.
- It can discount the order but void the cashback, because the code was sourced from a place that overwrote the affiliate cookie.
Codes published on the merchant's ShopBack Singapore page are verified against both paths. They're current (ShopBack Singapore maintains them with the merchant) and they're cashback-compatible (sourced from the merchant's own approved list, not scraped). The retailer's newsletter and loyalty programme are the next tier, current, but you have to click through ShopBack first to keep cashback alive (Activate Cashback Before You Buy walks through that click-through step).
Third-party aggregator sites have neither relationship. They scrape codes opportunistically and rarely prune them, and they fire their own affiliate cookie when you click "Reveal Code", which silently wins last-click at checkout.
Supporting facts / breakdown
| Source | Validity | Cashback-safe? | When to use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Merchant's ShopBack Singapore page | High, codes maintained with the merchant | Yes, pre-vetted to stack with cashback | First stop. If a code is here, try it. |
| Retailer's newsletter | High, direct from the retailer's marketing | Yes, if you click through ShopBack before applying | Newsletter welcome codes, sale-window codes |
| Retailer's app (Lazada, Shopee, Klook, Agoda) | High, direct from the retailer | Yes, but app vs web sessions can complicate tracking; complete on whichever you started in | App-only promotions |
| Retailer's loyalty programme (Lazada Bonus, Shopee Coins, Klook Credits, Agoda Rewards) | High, member-tier codes | Yes, in the same session as ShopBack click-through | Birthday, anniversary, post-purchase codes |
| Third-party coupon aggregator | Low, mostly expired or restricted | No, aggregator cookie overwrites cashback | Avoid |
| Auto-apply browser extension | Mixed | No, most are coupon affiliates | Disable for cashback purchases |
The deepest typical discounts are new-customer-only codes (often in the 10 to 30 percent range off a first order). Retailers cross-check eligibility by email and payment method, so a second sign-up rarely works.
How to apply this
| Scenario | Best source |
|---|---|
| Buying from a major Singapore online retailer for the first time | Merchant's ShopBack Singapore page -> retailer newsletter welcome code |
| Buying from a retailer you shop monthly | Loyalty programme -> merchant's ShopBack Singapore page |
| Mega-sale period (9.9, 10.10, 11.11, 12.12, GSS) | Merchant's ShopBack Singapore page, sale codes are usually listed (see Cashback on 9.9, 11.11 & 12.12) |
| Travel booking (hotel, flight, package on Klook, Agoda, Trip.com) | Merchant's ShopBack Singapore page, many travel merchants publish ShopBack-exclusive codes (see Earn Cashback on Hotels & Flights) |
| Food delivery, daily-spend categories | The merchant's app promotions tab + merchant's ShopBack Singapore page |
- Start at the merchant's ShopBack Singapore page. Sign in to shopback.sg and search for the brand. Active codes are listed alongside the current cashback rate. If a code is here, try it first, it's pre-vetted to be cashback-compatible.
- Check the retailer directly. Their newsletter, homepage banner, or app "promotions" tab usually has current codes (Lazada, Shopee, Klook, Agoda, Trip.com). Sign up for the newsletter to unlock the welcome code if you're new.
- Check your loyalty account. Lazada Bonus, Shopee Coins, Klook Credits, Agoda Rewards member areas often surface birthday codes, anniversary codes, and post-purchase win-back codes that aren't published anywhere else.
- Click through ShopBack Singapore, then apply the code. Click through shopback.sg to the retailer to set cashback tracking, add items to cart, and enter the code in the discount field. If it doesn't apply, check minimum spend and category restrictions, then try the next source.
What this actually means
Take an S$90 cart at a Singapore fashion retailer you've shopped before.
- Merchant's ShopBack Singapore page lists
MEMBER10— 10% off for members, valid until end of month, stacks with cashback. Try this first. - Retailer's newsletter sent
GSS15— 15% off, with an S$120 minimum spend. Doesn't apply to an S$90 cart. - Loyalty account shows an S$5 birthday voucher.
The decision: MEMBER10 saves S$9 (10% of S$90) plus the cashback layer; the birthday voucher saves S$5 but most checkouts only accept one code at a time. MEMBER10 wins.
The pattern in practice: the easy-to-find codes from "trustworthy" sources beat the deeper codes from sketchy sources every time, because the deeper code from a coupon aggregator usually voids the cashback layer (Cashback vs Coupon Extensions covers the aggregator-vs-cashback tradeoff). On an S$200 order with 5% cashback, that's S$10 of cashback you'd give up to use a 15% aggregator code that may not even apply. Code names and values are illustrative.
For popular Singapore merchants, ShopBack Singapore publishes verified codes on each merchant's page, for example, on the merchant pages for foodpanda, Lazada, Shopee, Agoda, Booking.com, Klook, and Trip.com. The "find a code" search starts and usually ends there. See Stack Cashback with Codes & Cards for the full three-layer stack.
Where this works best
- Lead with the merchant's ShopBack Singapore page, its listed codes are merchant-approved and cashback-compatible. If no active codes are listed, the retailer's newsletter and loyalty programme are the next-safest sources; the cashback layer alone is often worth more than an unverified external code.
- Trust the code's terms. When a retailer marks a code as cashback-compatible, both layers stack; when terms specify a single layer, pick the larger nominal saving for that single transaction.
- Use new-customer codes on a fresh account. Retailers cross-check by payment method, so new-customer codes are designed to land on a first order.
- Lead with self-serve codes (sourced from the merchant's ShopBack Singapore page, the retailer's site, or its newsletter) since they apply directly at checkout. Some codes intended for business accounts or regional rollouts need a support ticket; treat those as separate workflows.
- Check the merchant's ShopBack Singapore page for SKU eligibility before checkout. Most items qualify; some clearance and regulated SKUs sit outside the cashback layer, and the page lists which ones.
Key takeaways
- The three trustworthy sources for working codes in Singapore are the merchant's ShopBack Singapore page, the retailer's own newsletter or app, and the retailer's loyalty programme.
- Codes on the merchant's ShopBack Singapore page are pre-vetted to be cashback-compatible — they discount the order without voiding the cashback layer.
- Third-party coupon-aggregator sites and auto-apply browser extensions are the two biggest causes of cashback-voided orders. Disable extensions for cashback purchases.
- Most checkouts accept only one code per order. Pick the best one for your cart; cashback and card rewards (DBS, UOB, OCBC, Citi SG, AMEX SG) stack on top.
- The cashback alone is often worth more than a deeper but cashback-voiding external code. Check the cashback rate first before going hunting for an aggregator code.
