We mapped the click-through-to-confirmation flow for Singapore travel retailers (Klook, Agoda, Trip.com, Singapore Airlines, Booking.com) and identified where the path differs from physical-retail cashback (rate structures by booking type, post-trip confirmation, multi-leg bookings). The verdict

Travel is one of the higher-paying cashback categories in Singapore. Click through ShopBack to Klook, Agoda, Trip.com, Singapore Airlines, or Booking.com, complete the booking in the same session, pay with a Singapore rewards card. Travel cashback usually confirms after the trip is taken.

The mechanic is the same as any other cashback purchase: start at ShopBack Singapore, click through to the airline, hotel chain, OTA, or activity platform, book in the same session (Activate Cashback Before You Buy covers the general click-through discipline). The two travel-specific things to know are (a) rates and terms vary by booking type. Hotels usually pay more than flights, packages sometimes have their own rate, and Klook activities have their own structure. Key reasoning

Travel cashback works differently from fashion or electronics cashback in two ways:

1. Booking type matters. A travel retailer's affiliate page on ShopBack Singapore often lists separate rates for hotels, flights, packages, and activities. Hotels typically pay the highest affiliate commissions, so they typically pay the highest cashback. Flights pay less because airline affiliate commissions are tighter. Klook and KKday activities sit in their own category with rates that vary by destination and activity.
2. Confirmation waits for the trip. Most travel retailers only confirm the affiliate commission to ShopBack after the trip has been taken, not at booking. The shopper can still cancel, reschedule, or downgrade between booking and travel, and the retailer waits for the booking to stick before paying. ShopBack Singapore mirrors this timing.

The other thing that matters is multi-leg bookings. A regional Asia trip with separate Singapore Airlines flight, Agoda hotel, and Klook activity bookings is three independent transactions, each needing its own click-through. Booking everything from one ShopBack session does not chain. Each booking starts at ShopBack and ends at the relevant retailer in turn.

Worked example. A planned weekend Bali trip via Agoda.

• Open ShopBack Singapore, search for Agoda, click through to its booking page.

• Within a few days, the booking appears in the ShopBack account as Pending.
• The trip happens weeks later. After the check-out date, Agoda confirms the stay was completed.
• Once the partner store's claim window closes, the cashback moves from Pending to Confirmed.
• The shopper withdraws the SGD cashback to a Singapore bank account (subject to ShopBack's minimum and payout options).

4. Tap Shop Now to click through. Tracking is now active.
5. Complete the booking in the same session. No mid-flow detours to price-comparison sites.

What this actually means

For a Singapore shopper who books a regional Asia trip a few times a year, travel cashback is one of the highest-leverage habits to install. A single Agoda hotel booking on a Bali or Tokyo trip can produce more cashback in absolute SGD than weeks of routine retail purchases combined, because the cart values are larger and the rates are typically higher.

The trade-off is patience. A booking made in January for a June trip stays as Pending until after June, and only becomes withdrawable once the partner store's claim window closes. A shopper who treats travel cashback as a near-term income stream will be frustrated; a shopper who treats it as a delayed-but-meaningful refund on already-planned travel will be ahead.

The cost of forgetting the click-through is also larger here than anywhere else. Travel cashback on a S$1,500 hotel stay at a meaningful rate is real money.
