DBS, UOB or OCBC: Which Card Gives the Best Agoda Discount in 2026?
DBS, UOB or OCBC for Agoda in Singapore? At the time of writing, Agoda lists 20% off capped at S$50 for DBS/POSB in October 2026 (then 7%), 12% capped at S$30 for UOB and 10% capped at US$20 for OCBC. How each works, the terms that matter and how to pay less with ShopBack.
For Singapore cardholders, DBS/POSB has the biggest Agoda card discount on paper in October 2026: Agoda lists 20% off worldwide hotels, capped at S$50, then a year-round 7% once that allocation runs out. UOB cardholders get an additional 12% capped at S$30 for bookings until 31 December 2026, and OCBC cardholders get an extra 10% capped at US$20, according to Agoda's bank pages at the time of writing. The right card depends on your room charge and booking date.
New to ShopBack? ShopBack Singapore is a free app and website that gives you cash back when you book or shop with partner stores, including Agoda. Go through ShopBack before you book, pay as normal, and the cash lands in your ShopBack account once your stay is confirmed. Sign up to ShopBack Singapore for free.
DBS, UOB or OCBC: which card gives the best Agoda discount?
At the time of writing, DBS/POSB gives the largest Agoda discount for October 2026 bookings, UOB's 12% is the larger percentage once the DBS October offer ends or runs out, and OCBC's cap is set in US dollars. Here is what Agoda's own bank pages say:
| Card | Agoda discount (according to Agoda, at the time of writing) | Cap | Booking and stay window | Where you book |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DBS / POSB | 20% off worldwide hotels in October 2026, then a year-round 7% after the 20% is fully redeemed | S$50 on the 20% offer | Book 1 to 31 October 2026; stay 1 October 2026 to 30 June 2027 | agoda.com/dbs |
| UOB | Additional 12% off hotel bookings | S$30 | Book until 31 December 2026; stay until 31 December 2027 | agoda.com/uob |
| OCBC | Extra 10% off worldwide accommodation | US$20 | Shown on Agoda's OCBC page | Agoda's dedicated OCBC page |
| American Express (Singapore) | Additional 7% off worldwide | Shown on Agoda's Amex page | Shown on Agoda's Amex page | agoda.com/amex |
How the caps change the answer. Because each discount is capped, the percentage only tells half the story:
- DBS/POSB at 20% reaches its S$50 cap on a room charge of S$250. Above that, you still save S$50.
- UOB at 12% reaches its S$30 cap on a room charge of S$250. Above that, you still save S$30.
- OCBC at 10% reaches its US$20 cap on a room charge of US$200.
So for a S$200 room charge in October 2026, the DBS offer would take off S$40, the UOB offer S$24 and the OCBC offer about S$20, which sits within its US$20 cap. If the DBS 20% is no longer available, Agoda says a year-round 7% applies instead, which would take off S$14 on the same booking, so UOB's 12% becomes the larger percentage while its booking window runs to the end of 2026. These are worked examples only; Agoda shows the exact discount on the booking form after you enter your card number.
The fine print that matters. Agoda's terms for its DBS, UOB and OCBC promotions say that:
- the discount applies to room charges only, not taxes, service fees or processing fees,
- it works only on properties marked as eligible for the promotion,
- you must pay with an eligible card from that bank,
- it cannot be combined with other promotions, discount cards, loyalty programmes, vouchers, discounted items or fixed price items,
- some offers are first come, first served with limited redemptions.
Agoda's DBS page also notes that pay at hotel room types do not qualify.
DBS Agoda deal in Singapore for 2026
Agoda's DBS/POSB page lists an extra 20% off worldwide hotels for bookings made from 1 to 31 October 2026, capped at S$50, for stays from 1 October 2026 to 30 June 2027. The offer opened on 1 October at 1:00am SGT on a first come, first served basis, according to Agoda. Once the 20% allocation is fully redeemed, Agoda says a year-round 7% discount applies.
To use it, book through agoda.com/dbs (Agoda's terms also name agoda.com/dbsdeals) and pay with a DBS or POSB credit or debit card. For card-based offers, the discount appears on the booking form after you enter a valid DBS card number. Because the October offer is time-limited, check the DBS page on Agoda for whatever is running when you book.
UOB Agoda discount
Agoda's UOB page lists an additional 12% off hotel bookings with UOB cards, capped at S$30, for bookings until 31 December 2026 and stays until 31 December 2027. Agoda says the offer is first come, first served with limited redemptions, applies to properties marked as eligible, and needs payment with an eligible UOB credit or debit card through agoda.com/uob.
OCBC Agoda discount
Agoda's OCBC page lists an extra 10% off worldwide accommodation with OCBC cards, capped at US$20. Agoda's terms say the promotion applies to properties marked Promo Eligible, booked through its dedicated OCBC page, with the discount showing on the booking form after you enter a valid OCBC card number. Because the cap is in US dollars, the Singapore dollar value moves a little with the exchange rate.
Agoda credit card promotions for Citi and other cards in Singapore
At the time of writing, Agoda's American Express Singapore page lists an additional 7% off worldwide for Amex card members. For Citi and other banks, the reliable place to look is the bank's own card promotions page, because bank offers with booking sites change through the year and are not always hosted on a dedicated Agoda page.
Agoda's official card offers: where to find them
Agoda's official card offers sit on bank-specific pages on agoda.com, such as agoda.com/dbs, agoda.com/uob and agoda.com/amex. Each page carries its own terms, so read them before you book rather than relying on a summary. Searching site:agoda.com for your bank's name usually brings up the right page.
Agoda also runs its own loyalty tier, AgodaVIP. Agoda says signed-in members collect bookings towards VIP status for more discounts and exclusive deals. Keep in mind that Agoda's bank card terms say the card promotion cannot be combined with other promotions or loyalty programmes, so compare the totals and use whichever single discount gives the lower price.
Agoda, Mastercard and ShopBack in Malaysia
If you are booking from Malaysia, the bank card offers on Agoda are different. At the time of writing, Agoda's Maybank page lists an extra 8% off Malaysia hotels and 7% off worldwide hotels with a Maybank card. For Hong Leong Bank cards or a Mastercard promotion, check the bank's or Mastercard's own offers page for current Agoda deals. Malaysian shoppers can go through the Agoda page on ShopBack Malaysia before they book, in the same way Singapore shoppers use ShopBack Singapore.
How to book Agoda and pay less: the full routine
Booking a trip online: pick your dates, compare flights and hotels, go through ShopBack to the booking site, then pay with a travel card. For an Agoda hotel, that looks like this:
- Pick your dates and shortlist two or three hotels.
- Check your bank's Agoda page to see whether a card discount covers those properties and dates.
- Compare the totals, including taxes and fees, with and without the card discount or any Agoda promo code. Only one Agoda discount usually applies per booking.
- Go through ShopBack. Open the Agoda page on ShopBack Singapore and read the terms for the type of booking you are making.
- Pay with your travel card and complete the booking in that session.
Going through ShopBack gets you a cash rebate on the same order, at the same store. Cashback lowers what you actually pay for an order. It comes back as cash, so it works like a discount on the price, not like points or miles.
A worked example, with an illustrative rate only: on a S$200 hotel booking at an illustrative 5%, S$10 comes back, so the effective price is S$190. The real rate changes, so check the live rate on the Agoda page on ShopBack before you book.
Card rewards, bank promos and ShopBack on the same booking
You can usually earn cashback and your credit card's rewards or bank card promo on the same purchase, because they come from different places. Cashback also usually applies on sale prices. Some merchant promo codes or payment methods can void cashback, so check the merchant's terms on ShopBack.
For Agoda specifically, keep two points in mind:
- Your card's own rewards, such as miles, points or card rebates, are paid by your bank, so they usually still apply when you pay for an Agoda booking. Check your card's terms for any travel or merchant exclusions.
- Agoda's bank card discounts run through dedicated pages such as agoda.com/dbs and have their own terms. Whether a booking made through one of those pages also tracks on ShopBack depends on Agoda's terms, so read the Agoda page on ShopBack Singapore before you tap through, and compare the total with and without the bank discount.
Other hotel booking sites to compare
Other hotel booking sites Singapore travellers often compare with Agoda include Booking.com, Trip.com, Expedia, Hotels.com and Klook. Banks run card offers with several of these too, so the same routine applies: check the card offer, compare the total, and go through ShopBack before you book.
The verdict
For October 2026 bookings, DBS/POSB's 20% Agoda offer, capped at S$50, is the largest on paper while it lasts; after that, UOB's 12% capped at S$30 is the larger percentage for bookings until 31 December 2026, and OCBC's 10% is capped at US$20. In practice, use the card you already hold, check its Agoda page for the current offer, compare the final total, then go through ShopBack Singapore before you book and pay with your travel card.
