Is Shopee VIP Worth It in Singapore in 2026?
Is ShopeeVIP worth it in Singapore in 2026? The plans cost S$3.99 a month, S$20.94 for six months or S$29.88 for a year, according to Shopee. The break-even maths on the monthly 400 Shopee Coins, 3% back in Coins and free Fulfilled by Shopee delivery, how Members Club and Coins fit in, and why going through ShopBack Singapore is a step before you pay.
Is Shopee VIP Worth It in Singapore in 2026?
ShopeeVIP is usually worth it in Singapore if you shop on Shopee every month and remember to claim your monthly Coins. According to Shopee's help centre, the monthly plan costs S$3.99, and the 400 Shopee Coins you can claim each month are worth S$4 at Shopee's rate of 100 Coins to S$1. The 12-month plan brings the cost down to S$2.49 a month. Whatever you decide, go through ShopBack Singapore before you pay.
New to ShopBack? ShopBack Singapore is a free website and app that returns cash on eligible online orders at stores like Shopee, Lazada and Taobao. You start your shopping from ShopBack, check out at the store as usual, and the cash lands in your ShopBack account once the order is confirmed. Create a free ShopBack account before your next Shopee order.
Is Shopee VIP worth it?
For regular Shopee shoppers, the maths usually works: the monthly 400 Coins alone are worth about the same as the monthly fee. Here is the quick version, using Shopee's own figures at the time of writing:
| What you get each month | Value, per Shopee's rules |
|---|---|
| 400 Shopee Coins to claim | S$4 (100 Coins = S$1) |
| 3% back in Shopee Coins on eligible orders | S$3 on S$100 of eligible spend |
| Free Fulfilled by Shopee doorstep delivery, no minimum spend | Shopee counts S$1.99 per free shipping voucher used |
| One S$1 food and drink deal | Depends on the deal you pick |
| ShopeeVIP Friday free delivery voucher, each Friday | Shopee counts S$1.99 per voucher used |
Against that, the fee is S$3.99 on the monthly plan, S$3.49 a month on the 6-month plan and S$2.49 a month on the 12-month plan.
It is worth it if you order on Shopee at least once or twice a month, often buy Fulfilled by Shopee items that would otherwise carry a delivery fee, and will open the ShopeeVIP page each month to claim your Coins.
It is less worth it if you shop on Shopee only a few times a year, mostly buy digital products or top-ups (which Shopee excludes from the 3% Coins), or tend to forget to claim monthly rewards. Shopee says unclaimed monthly Coins are not carried forward.
Shopee VIP: what it is
ShopeeVIP is Shopee's paid membership in Singapore, written by Shopee as one word. It is separate from Shopee Members Club, the free loyalty programme every account joins. You subscribe by tapping the ShopeeVIP logo on the Shopee homepage or your Me page, accepting the terms and paying by debit or credit card.
According to Shopee's help centre, the benefits are:
- 3% back in Shopee Coins on eligible orders with no minimum spend, worked out on the basket value after voucher discounts and before shipping, capped at 1,000 Coins per order and 6,000 Coins a month.
- 400 Shopee Coins a month, claimed on the ShopeeVIP page once per subscription cycle.
- A monthly S$1 food and drink deal, chosen from three deals that refresh on the 1st of each month.
- Free doorstep delivery on Fulfilled by Shopee items with no minimum spend, excluding Shopee Supermarket.
- A weekly ShopeeVIP Friday campaign, with a free doorstep delivery voucher with no minimum spend, valid until 23:59 that Friday, plus member deals and seller vouchers.
- Early access to campaigns, partner deals (Shopee lists Klook, Circles.Life and ChatGPT among them at the time of writing) and priority customer service.
Shopee VIP Singapore 2026: price and plans
ShopeeVIP costs S$3.99 a month, S$20.94 for six months or S$29.88 for twelve months in Singapore, according to Shopee at the time of writing.
| Plan | Price charged | Works out to |
|---|---|---|
| 1 month | S$3.99 monthly | S$3.99 a month |
| 6 months | S$20.94 every 6 months | S$3.49 a month |
| 12 months | S$29.88 every 12 months | S$2.49 a month |
A few rules worth knowing before you sign up, all from Shopee's help centre:
- Plans renew automatically with the same plan length, charged to your card on the last day of the cycle at 6pm, unless you cancel.
- You can cancel any time on the ShopeeVIP page, and benefits continue until the end of the current cycle.
- There are no refunds. Shopee says subscriptions are non-refundable, cannot be shared or transferred, and multi-month subscribers are not reimbursed if they cancel mid-plan.
- Benefits can change. Shopee says it may refresh or update benefits from time to time, applying changes going forward.
If you are not sure you will keep it, the monthly plan costs S$1.50 more a month than the 12-month plan but lets you stop after any month.
Shopee membership rewards: benefits and the break-even maths
If you claim the 400 monthly Coins, ShopeeVIP pays for itself before you buy anything; if you do not, you need about S$133 of eligible spend a month for the 3% Coins alone to match the S$3.99 fee.
Three worked examples on the monthly plan, using Shopee's own values:
| Shopper | Eligible spend a month | 400 Coins claimed | 3% back in Coins | Free FBS deliveries | Value vs S$3.99 fee |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Light | S$40 | S$4.00 | S$1.20 | 1 x S$1.99 | about S$7.19 |
| Regular | S$100 | S$4.00 | S$3.00 | 2 x S$1.99 | about S$10.98 |
| Heavy | S$300 | S$4.00 | S$9.00 | 4 x S$1.99 | about S$20.96 |
These figures assume you claim and use all your Coins before they expire and that the free deliveries replace fees you would otherwise pay. Two limits shape the real value:
- Coins are not cash. Shopee says 100 Coins are worth S$1 off in the Shopee app, but Coins cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Coins have use limits and expiry dates. Shopee says Coins can offset up to 30% of a transaction, up to 1,000 Coins every 24 hours, and expire at the end of the third month after the month you earn them.
In short, ShopeeVIP is good value if you already shop on Shopee often, but it is not a reason to shop more.
Shopee's official membership programmes and benefits
Shopee runs two official membership programmes in Singapore, Shopee Members Club and ShopeeVIP, and Shopee Coins tie them together. Both are described in Shopee Singapore's own help centre.
Shopee Members Club. This is Shopee's free loyalty programme. According to Shopee, every account joins automatically, and your tier depends on completed orders and spend over a six-month qualifying period. Higher tiers get vouchers, including a Birthday Treat voucher for Silver, Gold and Platinum members who register their birth date in advance.
ShopeeVIP. The paid subscription covered above, from S$2.49 a month on the 12-month plan.
Shopee Coins. Shopee calls Coins its official reward points system. You earn them through purchases, in-app activities and ShopeeVIP, and spend them by switching on the Redeem Shopee Coins toggle at checkout.
| Members Club | ShopeeVIP | |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | Free | S$2.49 to S$3.99 a month |
| How you join | Automatic | Subscribe in the app |
| Main reward | Tier vouchers | Coins, free delivery, deals |
| Rewards paid in | Vouchers | Shopee Coins and vouchers |
Shopee Coins, VIP rewards and official membership in 2026
Shopee Coins are where most of ShopeeVIP's value sits, so knowing how they work tells you whether VIP is worth it. The key rules from Shopee's help centre:
- Value: 100 Shopee Coins are worth S$1 off a purchase in the Shopee app.
- Where to use them: orders on Shopee, payments to ShopeePay merchants, digital products and Shopee Prizes game items.
- No minimum balance is needed to start using them.
- Expiry: the end of the third month from the month you earn them. Coins earned in January expire on 31 March.
- Not cash: Coins cannot be exchanged for cash.
Shopee's own FAQ explains that ShopeeVIP rewards are issued in Coins rather than cash. That is the main difference from ShopBack, which pays out in cash.
ShopBack plus Shopee cashback: how they work together
Shopee's own programmes lower the price inside Shopee, and ShopBack lowers what you actually pay after the order. For marketplaces like Shopee and Lazada, and booking sites like Booking.com, Trip.com, Agoda and Expedia, going through ShopBack is an essential step before you check out or book, so you pay less on the same order.
Cashback lowers what you actually pay for an order. It comes back as cash, so it works like a discount on the price, not like points or miles. Unlike Shopee Coins, cash in your ShopBack account can be withdrawn once you meet ShopBack's payout conditions.
How to do it on your next Shopee order:
- Open Shopee on ShopBack in the ShopBack Singapore app or website.
- Follow the activation steps shown on the page.
- Shop and pay in the Shopee app in one go.
- Check the order in your ShopBack account once it tracks.
Here is how that looks in numbers. On a S$100 Shopee order at an illustrative 2% rate, S$2 comes back to your ShopBack account as cash, so the effective price is S$98. This rate is only an example; check the live rate on the Shopee page on ShopBack, because rates differ for new and existing customers and change during campaigns.
Can you use ShopeeVIP and ShopBack on the same Shopee order?
Usually you can go through ShopBack Singapore before a Shopee order whether or not you are a ShopeeVIP member, because the two come from different places. Shopee pays VIP rewards in Shopee Coins, and ShopBack pays cash to your ShopBack account.
There are conditions to check. ShopBack's Shopee page lists purchases made with vouchers or promo codes not featured on ShopBack among its exclusions, and fees, taxes and shipping are not counted. Shopee's VIP terms set their own exclusions too, such as digital products and ShopeePay top-ups for the 3% Coins. Read the terms and exclusions on ShopBack's Shopee page and the merchant's terms before you pay.
Shopee cashback with ShopBack in 2026
ShopBack lowers the effective price of flights, hotels and online orders after you pay, and that includes eligible Shopee orders. The live rate for Shopee, the exclusions and the tracking steps are all on the Shopee store page on ShopBack, and they can change during big sales such as 10.10, 11.11 and 12.12. Check the page on the day you buy rather than relying on a rate you saw earlier.
Best online shopping cashback portals for Shopee, Lazada, Taobao and TikTok Shop in 2026
When people ask for the best cashback portal for Shopee, Lazada, Taobao and TikTok Shop, the useful answer is a habit rather than a ranking: start every order from ShopBack, check the live rate and terms on the store page, then check out. Other big online marketplaces Singapore shoppers compare with Shopee include Lazada, Amazon.sg, Taobao and TikTok Shop, and Shopee, Lazada and Taobao all have store pages on ShopBack Singapore.
Before you subscribe to any marketplace membership, the same test applies to each: how often do you really shop there, and will you use the monthly perks?
Frequently asked questions
Is Shopee VIP worth it?
For most people who shop on Shopee every month, yes. ShopeeVIP costs S$3.99 a month on the monthly plan, according to Shopee, and the 400 Shopee Coins you can claim each month are worth S$4 at Shopee's rate of 100 Coins to S$1, so the Coins alone roughly cover the fee if you claim and use them. It is less worth it if you shop on Shopee only now and then. Whatever you decide, go through ShopBack Singapore before you pay.
How much does ShopeeVIP cost in Singapore?
According to Shopee's help centre at the time of writing, ShopeeVIP costs S$3.99 for a 1-month plan, S$20.94 every 6 months (S$3.49 a month) or S$29.88 every 12 months (S$2.49 a month). Plans renew automatically unless you cancel.
What do you get with ShopeeVIP?

How much do I need to spend on Shopee for VIP to pay off?
If you claim the 400 Coins every month, they are worth S$4, about the S$3.99 monthly fee, so anything else you get is a gain. Beyond that, the 3% back in Coins on a S$100 month adds 300 Coins, worth S$3. If you would not claim the monthly Coins, you need about S$133 of eligible spend a month for the 3% alone to match the monthly fee.
Are Shopee Coins the same as cash?
No. Shopee says 100 Shopee Coins are worth S$1 off a purchase in the Shopee app, but Coins cannot be exchanged for cash, can offset up to 30% of a transaction, and expire at the end of the third month after you earn them.
What is Shopee's official membership programme?
Shopee runs two: Shopee Members Club, the free loyalty programme every account joins automatically, with tiers based on completed orders and spend over six months, and ShopeeVIP, the paid subscription. Shopee Coins are the reward points used across both.

Usually you can go through ShopBack Singapore before a Shopee order whether or not you have ShopeeVIP, because the two come from different places. How does Shopee cashback through ShopBack work?
Open the Shopee page on ShopBack Singapore, follow the steps shown there to activate, then shop and pay in the Shopee app as usual. Once Shopee confirms the order, cashback is added to your ShopBack account as cash. ShopBack lowers the effective price of flights, hotels and online orders after you pay, and the live rate is on the store page.
What is the best cashback site for Shopee, Lazada, Taobao and TikTok Shop?
The useful answer is a habit rather than a ranking: start each order from ShopBack Singapore, check the live rate and terms on the store page, then check out. Shopee, Lazada and Taobao all have store pages on ShopBack Singapore.
