To the Japanese, tea is a form of refined art. At Matchaya, they want to bring a part of that to you.
This Japanese café's Chado (The Way of Tea) journey began with a trip to Japan in 2015. Unable to find anything close to what they encountered there in Singapore, they sought to recreate the tea-riffic, unforgettable matcha experience, even going back to the Land of the Rising Sun to source premium ingredients and to learn more about them from the Tea Farmers and Tea Masters directly.
Over the years, they've transformed from being a dessert takeaway kiosk to a full-fledged teahouse that even has a section where the tea beverages are freshly whisked and prepared on the spot. Other than their wide array of matcha and non-matcha desserts, Matchaya now serves up snacks like the Tamago Sando and comforting mains like the Dashi Chicken Stew and Japanese Chicken Katsu Curry.
