Hear ye! Singaporean gourmet connoisseurs now have something to rejoice about. Michelin-starred restaurants – yes, the epitome of first-class dining – are finally here on our local Singaporean shores!

Check out our guide on the some of the notable Michelin restaurants that are in Singapore. While we cannot guarantee the absence of long snaking queues, we are pretty certain that you will definitely have a gastronomical experience of a lifetime at these Michelin restaurants!

Joël Robuchon Restaurant is undeniably Singapore’s pride in the Michelin list of restaurants – being the first and only 3-star Michelin restaurant in Singapore.

Boasting an impressive and elegant restaurant interior, dining at this Michelin-starred restaurant will no doubt be an expensive affair. However, there is also a more affordable weekend lunch menu, which offers a 3, 4 and 5-course lunch at $108, $128 and $148 respectively.

We’d say that this restaurant is worth bringing only a very special someone and for really REALLY special occasions.

Ranked as one of the 50th best restaurants in the world and with two Michelin stars to its name, Restaurant André is no stranger to the culinary scene. However, to maximise your dining experience here, the key is to keep an open mind.

With an out-of-the-ordinary philosophical menu, the dishes go by themes – namely, Pure, Salt, Artisan, South, Texture, Unique, Memory and Terroir. Be warned that the menu changes daily and, even on the same day, guests might be served differing dishes.

Each dish is a reflection of the chef’s (Chef André Chiang) personality. Hence as fore-mentioned, the trick is to keep an open mind when dining here!

Operating hours: 12:00 – 2:00pm, 7:00 – 11:00pm (Tues – Sun, Closed Mon, PH)

This lesser-known two Michelin star restaurant is perhaps one of the “youngest” restaurants around, being conferred the honorary Michelin stars just four months into operation. It is an 8-seater sushi restaurant that serves up exquisite palettes of sushi.

Some of their set meals include Japanese Omelette, sashimi and of course, a wide selection of sushi. Sashimi here is flown in fresh from Tokyo’s Tsukiji Market daily and when the market closes, so does the restaurant! With their passionate attention on detail and execution, what more can we expect from a Michelin-rated restaurant?

Although Michelin-star restaurant Kam’s Roast will not be serving any of their signature roast goose (aww), expect other Michelin-starred meaty delights at its outlet in Singapore! Besides roast duck and suckling pig, Kam’s Roast menu also includes their popular wanton noodles and “toro” char siew – which is made with premium pork belly and barbecued with Kam family’s secret marinade.

Opening in Singapore on November 19 with much fanfare, it is highly likely that waiting times at Kam’s Roast could stretch up to hours!

5. Tsuta

With an exceptionally small dining area of 9 seats at its eatery in Sugamo, Tokyo, Tsuta is the only ramen restaurant in the world to be awarded with a Michelin star. Thankfully, its second branch here in Singapore is twice the size of the original – with 18 seats.

Straying away from the typical ramen shops, Tsuta is known for experimenting with Western flavours. The use of condiments such as truffle puree and olive oil adds a unique twist to their ramen bowls – such as the Shoyu Soba with Truffle Sauce. Their ramen noodles are also handmade using flour imported from Japan.

Using natural ingredients to bring out the flavour of the ramen bowl rather than relying on sauces, perhaps that is the secret that earned Tsuta its Michelin star!

Address: Pacific Plaza, #01-01, 9 Scotts Road, Singapore 228210
Operating hours: Daily, 11am – 10pm

Singapore is one of the countries with a diverse culinary scene and these Michelin restaurants in Singapore have no doubt stirred waves in the gastronomical industry. With (hopefully) more Michelin restaurants set to come into Singapore, prepare for an epicurean journey like no other!
